Quinta das Hidrângeas has great tradition in wine production. The estate was owned in XIX century by D. Antonia Adelaide Ferreira, the legendary Ferreirinha, seems an odd of Portuguese wine, compelling and memorable when speaking of the Douro. The wines of Quinta Hidrângeas today are the result of work of the current owner, Henrique Tiago Pinto, who devoted 50 years of his life to perfecting what is now the new generation of Quinta das Hidrângeas, his daughters and grandson (Ricardo Guerra) are proud continue.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Climate:Continental
Soil:Xistus rock, light acid and poor in nutrients
Grape Varieties:Rabigato, Códega do Larinho e Loureiro
Production:5.000 bottles
Winemaking:Destemming, pelicular maceration and fermentation half in french barrels and half in inox with control-led temperature between 14 and 16ºC.
Aging:Battonage in barrels for 1 month, aged 1 months in the cellar before being labelled.
Bottling:2010
Alchoolic Contain:12,5 % ALC. By VOL.

TASTING NOTES

Colour:Bright Citrus Yellow
Aroma:Intense white flesh fruity aroma, citrus touch and interesting minerality.
Taste:Good freshness in the mouth, well balanced and very persistent end.
Final Taste:Intense, fresh and persistent.
